The Mansfield to Midlothian Pipeline Replacement includes removal of approximately eleven miles of 72-inch pre-stressed concrete cylinder pipe (PCCP) replacing with 90-inch and 102-inch welded steel pipe. The replacement will take place within the TRWD right-of-way. The duration of construction is estimated to be approximately three years from 2024 through late 2027. One mile of the replacement, just west of FM664, is substantially complete. The first sequence of the remaining construction starts just east of Walnut Creek Drive in Mansfield and continues to the east.

Construction is restricted to the TRWD right-of-way and adjacent temporary construction easements, however the TRWD right-of-way does cross streets, roads, highways, railroads, and creeks. During working hours expect an increase in large truck traffic, noise, and dust on and near construction zones. The pipeline replacement will be in tunnels under highways and railroads but where smaller road crossings are not tunneled, expect temporary traffic diversions.

Construction workhours are limited to 6am - 7pm weekdays, however Saturdays are allowed when working away from neighborhoods. These are subject to change due to weather and schedule.
