Large-diameter raw water pipelines are underground along the TRWD right-of-way. One of these pipelines was installed over 50 years ago. TRWD has a robust inspection program to evaluate the areas at highest risk. The highest risk areas are added to the TRWD Capital Improvements Program for replacement. In addition to mitigating risk, the replacement pipe is increased in diameter to support increased flow capacity to meet growing water supply demands.
