Bottom Line
Spillway operations are ongoing at all four TRWD lakes. Graphic-1 shows the rain totals for yesterday. Overall, the TRWD watersheds received about 1/2″ of rain, which generated additional inflows for the lakes. However, minimal impacts on pool elevation are expected in the TRWD lakes due to the ongoing releases.
Projections
- Bridgeport: The pool is receding, and spillway discharges will be reduced accordingly.
- Eagle Mountain: The pool is holding steady around 649.6 ft. Inflows are starting to decrease and discharges will be reduced accordingly. Lake Worth levels will reduce as Eagle Mountain discharges reduce.
- Cedar Creek: The pool is just above conservation level with a low spillway discharge.
- Richland-Chambers: The recent rain did not change the trajectory of the pool. It’s currently near its crest elevation and a downward trend is expected in the next few days, barring additional rainfall.
*Projections are subject to change and are based on past precipitation.
Looking Forward
A weak storm complex will bring a small chance of rain Saturday night into Sunday afternoon. Additional storms are expected during the workweek with a chance for some storms to become severe. The best chances of rain are on Tuesday and Wednesday. See NWS Guidance below in Graphic 2.
Next Update: The Reservoir Monitoring Updates will be paused for the weekend and will resume on Monday. TRWD staff will continue to monitor conditions 24/7 and are available to answer the flood line if there are any questions or concerns.
