Reservoir Monitoring Update

By May 23, 2025

Bottom Line

The TRWD lakes at or near conservation level and all TRWD lakes but Cedar Creek are making a flood releases.

Significant rainfall is expected over Memorial Day Weekend, with thunderstorms becoming more organized late Sunday and continuing throughout the week. Initial river responses from overnight rainfall will be brief, but expect rivers to rise again with the upcoming storms. Water supply lakes are full and will need to pass inflows, while flood control lakes have room to store runoff. See River Forecast Center guidance below in Graphic 1.

Next Update:  Reservoir updates will be posted as needed over the weekend to provide updates if conditions change. TRWD staff will continue to monitor conditions 24/7 and are available to answer the flood line if there are any questions or concerns.
