Bottom Line
At this time, all TRWD lakes are below conservation levels and have some room for run off; however, Eagle Mountain Lake is just under 1 foot below conservation. Conditions at all TRWD lakes will be closely monitored in the coming days for increases in lake levels requiring spillway operations. Rain chances increase Tuesday as a cold front moves into the region. Daily chances for showers and thunderstorms continue through the Memorial Day weekend. The heaviest rainfall is currently expected to occur southeast of Fort Worth, although the exact totals will depend on how the front moves or potentially stalls across the area.
Lake Level Projections
No projections at this time.
Looking Forward
Looking ahead, an unsettled weather pattern is expected to persist over the next five to ten days, bringing daily opportunities for rainfall. While the risk for severe weather appears low, periods of heavy rain and localized flooding will remain possible, particularly in areas to the southeast. See NWS Guidance in Graphic-1.
