Lake Level BlogReservoir Monitoring Update

Reservoir Monitoring Update

By May 8, 2025

Bottom Line

There has been no additional rainfall in the TRWD reservoir watersheds since last update.  Spillway operations are on-going at all four TRWD lakes and lake levels are expected to trend downward through the weekend.

Projections

  • Bridgeport: The lake has re-opened as of noon yesterday. The lake level continues to recede, and spillway discharges will be reduced accordingly.
  • Eagle Mountain: The pool has crested, and lake levels are trending down. Spillway discharge will be reduced starting today through the weekend to allow pool levels at Lake Worth to fall. During this discharge reduction operation, pool levels at Eagle Mountain may stall or experience a slight temporary rise.
  • Cedar Creek: Spillway operations continue, and pool levels are slowly receding.
  • Richland-Chambers: The pool is near its crest, and spillway operations will continue through the weekend.

Looking Forward

Scattered showers are possible today and tomorrow, but rainfall totals are expected to be low. Warmer and drier conditions are anticipated this weekend and into the upcoming work week. Please refer to NWS guidance in Graphics 1 for more details.

Next Update:  TRWD staff are monitoring conditions 24/7 and are available to answer the flood line if there are any questions or concerns. The next update will be provided tomorrow.
