General Ordinance

The TRWD General Ordinance regulates the water and land under the District’s control, ensuring compliance with the Texas Constitution and Water Code. Originally adopted in 2002, the current version was approved by the Board in December 2025.

*Conservation Level: The permitted level of water an entity is allowed to hold in a lake. Any amount above the conservation level is used for the temporary storage of flood waters and must be released downstream.
