Bottom Line
All TRWD watersheds have seen between 0.5″ to 1.5″ of rain on average since Monday’s update. However, due to low rainfall depths, intensity and dry soil conditions, runoff has been minimal to TRWD reservoirs. See rainfall map below (Graphic-1). Expect warm temperatures over the weekend with little to no rain chances. We continue to closely watch the forecast as daily rain chances return next week. All TRWD reservoirs elevations remain below conservation, and no flood discharges at this time. Next update will come as conditions warrant.

Graphic-2. NWS Guidance – As temperatures moderate to near normal by the middle of next week, afternoon and evening pop-up thunderstorms will likely return to the region as well. While there is a low chance (20%) for an isolated storm near Waco/Killeen Monday afternoon, the more widespread chances for isolated storms (30-40%) return Tuesday and continue into Wednesday. As forecast confidence increases over the next couple of days, expect precip chances to increase for some areas across North and/or Central Texas.
