Accounting Student Assistant

Salary: $18.00

 

Location: Fort Worth, TX

 

 

Position Summary:

Assists with updating financial and business transactions data, supports Finance department with administrative tasks, and helps prepare reports to ensure accurate accounting records.

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

· Assist with ad hoc reports and other projects

· Assist with administrative accounting duties

· Update/prepare various financial spreadsheets

· Prepare journal entries

· Assist with quarter-end close and year-end close

· Data mining and analysis

· Maintain familiarity with strategic District levels of service

· Continuous improvement monitoring and innovation efforts

· Perform other duties as required

 

Required Experience:

· Less than one (1) year of experience

· Strong written and oral communication skills

· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products

 

Desired Experience:

· Accounting experience in an office environment

 

Required Education/Certification/License:

· Junior or Senior working towards an Accounting Degree

· High school diploma or GED

· Valid Texas driver’s license
