Communications and Community Outreach Department Earns Watermark Awards

By April 30, 2025

The Communications and Community Outreach Department at TRWD recently received two Watermark Awards from the Texas Association of American Water Works (TAWWA).

TRWD’s Centennial Book received an award for best publication. The 130-page publication chronicles TRWD’s 100-year history, key events, and milestones. The book highlights the District’s growth and evolution and was written and designed in-house by the Communications and Community Outreach Department.

The team also received an award for best featured series. The department launched an authentic year-long employee series that humanized the organization’s workforce and mission, through compelling narratives.

“The Watermark Awards recognizes this team’s exceptional talent and passion for storytelling and connecting our communities with the dedicated individuals who make our mission possible every day,” said Natasha Hill, TRWD’s Director of Communications and Community Outreach. “We approached the centennial book and employee feature series with creativity and authenticity, highlighting not just what we do at TRWD, but why we do it.”
