The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Tarrant Regional Water District (TRWD) and the City of Fort Worth will host an open house on October 16 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. for residents and business owners to learn more about the Fort Worth Modified Central City Project.
The event will be held on October 16 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Northside Community Center in Fort Worth located at 1100 NW 18th Street.
Once completed, this important initiative will help manage flood risks and protect thousands of homes and businesses, as well as over one million people in the 11th largest city in the country.
Attendees will receive information about upcoming project developments, including improving infrastructure, rerouting the Trinity River just north of downtown and modifying Gateway Park to better handle future flood events.
Materials will be available in both English and Spanish. In addition, those needing interpretation, translation, or accommodations should contact the Fort Worth Central City Project Team at (682) 268-1204.
