Reservoir Monitoring Update

By May 19, 2026

Bottom Line

Conditions for TRWD lakes remain unchanged since last update. All lakes are below conservation levels and have some room to store runoff, with the exception of Eagle Mountain Lake, which is just under 1 foot below conservation. TRWD continues to closely monitor lake conditions for increases in lake levels requiring spillway operations. The best rain chances to generate runoff are today and Thursday as a cold front moves into the region. Daily chances for showers and thunderstorms continue through the Memorial Day weekend.

Looking Forward

Looking ahead, an unsettled weather pattern is expected to persist over the next five to ten days, bringing daily opportunities for rainfall. Some strong to severe storms are possible today. Looking further into the week, Thursday appears to have the greater potential for river floods. See NWS Guidance in Graphic-1.
