Bottom Line
Lake Bridgeport received over 1-inch of rainfall in the past 24-hours. See Graphic-1 below. Widespread showers and thunderstorms are expected tomorrow and Friday. All TRWD reservoirs are below conservation with no current releases. Eagle Mountain is less than 1 foot below conservation and will be closely monitored. Lake Bridgeport, Cedar Creek, and Richland-Chambers have room for additional inflow.

Looking Forward
Widespread showers and thunderstorms expected tomorrow and Friday. Another 1 to 2.5 inches of rain is possible with heavier localized rainfall possible. Moving into the weekend, conditions will drastically improve with plenty of sun and slightly below average temperatures with highs in the low and mid 70s, see NWS Guidance in Graphic-2.

Graphic-2. NWS Guidance: Our next storm system will bring widespread showers and thunderstorms to the region tomorrow and Friday. The primary concerns will be with lightning and potential flooding from periods of heavy rain, particularly across Central Texas. While the severe threat is very low, an instance or two of large hail can’t be ruled out south of US-84. By the time we get into the weekend, conditions will drastically improve with plenty of sun and slightly below average temperatures with highs in the low and mid 70s.
