Reservoir Monitoring Update

By January 9, 2021

TRWD continues to monitor reservoir conditions 24 hours a day.  Precipitation is expected to start late this evening in the Bridgeport area and move east into Sunday.   Expected precipitation amounts are shown in Graphic-1; currently about 1/2 inch in the Bridgeport/Eagle Mountain area and closer to 1 inch in the Cedar Creek/Richland-Chambers area.  There is a threat of winter weather.  Be sure to follow the National Weather Service (NWS) for more details.

Cedar Creek and Richland-Chambers continue to discharge flood waters to bring the pools back to conservation.  See the table below for current discharge rates.  Updates to lake status and flood discharges will be posted here.

Please continue to follow the NWS and the River Forecast Center (RFC) for the latest information regarding weather and river conditions, respectively.

Please be advised that forecasts and projections are subject to change, and TRWD reservoir operations are based on observed rainfall conditions.  Updates to this blog will be made periodically as warranted.
