Reservoir Monitoring Update

By January 3, 2021

TRWD continues to monitor reservoir conditions 24 hours a day.  Conditions have been dry for the past 24 hours, with no rainfall on TRWD watersheds.  Dry conditions are expected to continue until Wednesday, when the arrival of a cold front will bring rainfall chances for Richland-Chambers and Cedar Creek. Eagle Mountain and Bridgeport are not anticipated to receive any rainfall from this system.  See NWS Guidance below in Graphic-1.

Discharges from Cedar Creek have continued, and discharges from Richland-Chambers were increased this morning.  See the table below for current discharge rates.  Any updates to lake status and flood discharges will be posted here.

Please continue to follow the National Weather Service (NWS) and the River Forecast Center (RFC) for the latest information regarding weather and river conditions, respectively.

Please be advised that forecasts and projections are subject to change, and TRWD reservoir operations are based on observed rainfall conditions.  Updates to this blog will be made periodically as warranted.
