Lake Bridgeport Gauge Malfunction

By December 18, 2018

As of 12:00 p.m. today (12/18/18) the lake level gauge at Bridgeport is reading incorrectly.  Since that time the levels have been dropping at a rapid rate and are incorrect.  The USGS has been notified and will be out to service the gauge tomorrow morning.  Until that time the lake is expected to continue to slowly rise.  Projected elevations prepared by reservoir monitoring staff are listed below.  Please note that these projections are based on upstream watershed conditions at the time of this post and are subject to change.

  • 12/18 12:00 p.m. – 836.06 ft-msl (last know elevation)
  • 12/18 6:00 p.m. – 836.07 ft-msl (projection)
  • 12/19 12:00 a.m. – 836.09 ft-msl (projection)
  • 12/19 6:00 a.m. – 836.11 ft-msl (projection)
  • 12/19 12:00 p.m. – 836.13 ft-msl (projection)
  • 12/19 6:00 p.m. – 836.14 ft-msl (projection)

An update will be posted here once the issue is resolved.  Reservoir staff will be taking periodic manual readings to ensure the reservoir is at or near the expected elevation while the gauge is reading incorrectly.

A summary of current conditions at TRWD reservoirs is shown below.  TRWD staff continues to monitor conditions 24 hours a day.
