Bottom Line
Spillway operations are ongoing at all four TRWD lakes. Some scattered showers moved through the upper portion of the Lake Bridgdeport watershed early this morning, but only trace amounts of rainfall were observed in the TRWD watersheds in the last 24 hours.
Projections
- Bridgeport: The pool has crested and is receding. Spillway discharges will be reduced as the pool continues to recede.
- Eagle Mountain: The spillway gates were opened further yesterday afternoon in anticipation of water currently at the upstream gage near Boyd. The pool level has fallen overnight and is expected to begin rising again by this evening as the Boyd water arrives. Travel time from Boyd to Eagle Mountain is typically 12 to 24 hours. Lake Worth is anticipated to continue to rise and level out near elevation 595.3 approximately at the current discharge. *Please note that the Eagle Mountain elevation appears to have been adjusted overnight with a decrease of about 0.4′. We are currently working with the USGS to determine whether this is due to a sensor error or some other cause. Until the cause is confirmed, the elevation and discharge information in the table below should be considered provisional and subject to change.
- Cedar Creek: The pool has crested, and spillway operations are ongoing to return the lake to conservation level. A reduction in discharge occurred this morning, as indicated by the updated discharge rate in the table below.
- Richland-Chambers: Spillway operations continue as the pool level slowly rises. At this time, we do not expect it to rise much above 315.5 ft-msl.
*Projections are subject to change and are based on past precipitation.
