Hosted by TRWD, the Trinity Trash Bash is a semi-annual litter cleanup centered around the Trinity River. The one-day event helps rid the Trinity River and the surroundings areas of litter that pollutes our waterways and negatively impacts the river ecosystem. With the goal of bringing the community together and actively promoting the stewardship of our water sources, the Trinity Trash Bash is a great place for families, youth groups/scouts, community organizations, churches, local schools and universities, and others alike to come together and share in the fun of making our community a better place.
Yes! Save on stress and pick up your supplies early. We make it easy; just pull up to 500 E. Northside Drive between 8am and 5:30 pm on Thursday, September 13 or Friday, September 14. Give us your name and we will bring the supplies to your car.
The most important thing is a smiling happy face and a can-do attitude. Other than that you should bring the trash bash supplies we provided, which includes trash bags and gloves.
We want to say “thank you” to all of our wonderful volunteers by providing you with a free commemorative t-shirt. If you do not register before the deadline we apologize but the t-shirt order has been placed and we will not have any extra t-shirts available.
As we all know, Texas weather can be unpredictable. The Trash Bash is a rain or shine event except in the case of severe weather. You can check the TRWD Facebook page or the Trash Bash Facebook Event for day-of updates if weather becomes an issue.
Yes. After you’re done bashing trash we invite you to celebrate the successful clean-up at one of two after parties. Wristbands will be distributed at the clean-up location sites for access to the after party.

Looking back at 2017

Volunteers collected more than 15 tons of trash from the banks of the Trinity River. Help us bash that record this year.
