Update on water pipeline break near US 287 in Mansfield

By March 28, 2023

At approximately 6 a.m. this morning, one of TRWD’s large diameter pipelines used to deliver raw water from Cedar Creek Lake to wholesale customers in Tarrant County experienced a failure near US 287 in Mansfield.

As a result of the break, raw water already in the pipeline temporarily flooded the roadway causing a brief disruption to both northbound and southbound lanes of the highway.

The affected pipeline was taken out of service shortly after the break. At this time, we are actively working with our wholesale customers to provide water from a nearby pipeline.

Any additional information regarding the pipeline break will be posted here, if needed.
