We are looking for volunteers to plant trees on the Trinity Trails

By October 7, 2026

Whether you’re an experienced gardener or planting your very first tree, we invite you to roll up your sleeves and join us as we add more shade coverage along the Trinity Trails in Fort Worth.

This community event, which will be held on Friday, Nov. 6th from 10 a.m. to noon at 4570 White Settlement Road, gives volunteers the opportunity to make a difference in their community by helping us plant trees that will produce much-needed shade during the hot Texas summers.

In order to accomplish our goal, we are looking for 90 volunteers who are willing to give up a few hours on a Friday to help us make the Trinity Trails a more enjoyable experience for runners, walkers and anyone else that frequents the popular trail system.

Volunteers are encouraged to arrive at 9:30 a.m. in order to complete paperwork and visit the booths that will be set up on the morning of the event. In addition, those who participate may receive sunglasses, tote bags, mixed native wildflower seeds and a decorative birdhouse.

This event is made possible by TRWD Recreation Department, City of Fort Worth Forestry Department, and Tree City USA. We would also like to extend our gratitude to our community partners, which include Streams and Valleys, Keep Fort Worth Beautiful, Native Plant Society, Texas Master Gardeners, Fort Worth Garden Club, Fort Worth Rowing Club and the TRWD Conservation Department.
