TRWD will host three Trash Bash events this fall aimed at removing trash and debris from the Trinity River in Fort Worth and two of its water supply lakes in North Texas – Eagle Mountain Lake in Tarrant County and Cedar Creek Lake in East Texas.
The clean-ups, which have taken place for more than 30 years, have helped remove more than 500 tons of trash and debris from TRWD’s water supply lakes and the Clear and West Forks of the Trinity River in Fort Worth.
The 2026 Fall Trash Bash events are scheduled on the following dates:
- Eagle Mountain Lake – Saturday, Sept. 12
- Trinity River in Fort Worth – Saturday, Sept. 19
- Cedar Creek Lake – Saturday, Sept. 26
This year’s events will be held from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Participants are also invited to attend the Trash Bash Volunteer After-Parties from 10 a.m. to noon, which will feature refreshments and family-friendly entertainment.
Volunteers must register in advance and select their t-shirt size. Groups or teams registering multiple participants should indicate the total number of shirts needed and specify sizes. In addition, T-shirts are not guaranteed for incomplete registrations or those submitted after the deadline.
