District offering water-saving initiatives that help reduce water use at home

By July 7, 2026

TRWD is offering residents in Tarrant County two different opportunities to learn more about water conservation and put those practices to use at home.

The District’s Rain Barrel Program allows residents to purchase a 55-gallon rain barrel for pickup at select Tarrant County locations in September. County residents who attend the free Rainwater Harvesting online class on Aug. 25 can receive a $30 discount for up to three rain barrels.

TRWD is also continuing its Water Wise Home Landscaping Summer Class Series this summer. Residents can attend free online classes designed to help them maintain attractive, healthy landscapes while using water more efficiently.
