TRWD recently received five awards at the Texas Water 2026 Conference in San Antonio. Presented by the Water Environment Association of Texas (WEAT) and the Texas Section of the American Water Works Association (AWWA), recognize excellence in communications and media coverage related to water resources in Texas.
- The District’s Water Conservation Department received a Water Conservation and Reuse Award for its Youth Conservation Classes and Events Program.
- TRWD’s Communications and Community Outreach Department received the following awards:
- Best Internal Communications: Workday Implementation Campaign
- Best Publication: Integrated Water Supply Plan (IWSP) One-Pager
- Best Digital Communications: Capital Improvement Projects Quarterly Newsletter
- Best Op/Ed/Feature: Cristo Rey Feature Story
“We sincerely appreciate this recognition from Texas AWWA,” said Betsy Marsh, TRWD’s Conservation Supervisor. “Our youth conservation team is doing an amazing job connecting with kids, teachers, and families in Tarrant County. I am confident we are helping TRWD empower young water champions to conserve and protect our precious water resources.”

Everything from explaining how we plan for the future to meeting people where they are with information they can understand and act on.”
The awards are presented annually by AWWA, alongside local member organizations.
