Over the last five decades, TRWD has been a proud founding partner of Mayfest and provided fun and entertainment for thousands of patrons who have visited the annual festival on the banks of the Trinity River in Fort Worth.
In addition to our regular attractions such as the Water Conservation Demonstration Garden presented by Weston Gardens in Bloom and our recreation stewardship programs, we have three new attractions this year that highlight more of what we do at TRWD.
- Nature Play Zone – This will be a pop-up nature zone where we have various natural and “found” elements that provide children with an opportunity to explore creative and sensory play.
- TRWD Pipeline Display – Here’s your chance to see a massive pipeline segment that we use to bring raw water back to Tarrant County each and every day.
- Geocaching – One of our most popular recreational programs, we will have three temporary caches that will be hidden on the Mayfest grounds the next few days. Those who find the caches will gain an additional entry in our daily Summer Recreation Bundle Raffle. Participants have a chance to win a free entry to TRWD’s Twin Points Park and many other prizes.
Mayfest runs April 30 through May 3 at Trinity Park in Fort Worth, and don’t forget admission is free on Thursday, April 30th!
