Eagle Mountain Lake is located northwest of Fort Worth, formed by the damming the West Fork of the Trinity River. The dam was completed on October 24, 1932. Today the lake is a popular boating and recreation destination in the metroplex.

Fishing Eagle Mountain Lake

Eagle Mountain Lake provides great fishing opportunities. It is regularly stocked for fishing and is a great place to catch Largemouth Bass, Spotted Bass, Channel Catfish, White Bass and White Crappie.

Home to Eagle Mountain Park and Twin Points Park, Eagle Mountain Lake is less than 15 miles from Downtown Fort Worth. Formed in 1932, the 9,104-acre lake is a peaceful place to escape and enjoy the water without having to spend hours to get there! Whether you want to go boating, fishing, wakeboarding, water skiing, kayaking, canoeing — Eagle Mountain Lake is the perfect place to do it.

Eagle Mountain Lake Rules

Activity upon this lake is governed by the General Ordinance of the Tarrant Regional Water District, in addition to all applicable state and federal regulations pertaining to inland waterways.

LAKE LOCATION
Eagle Mountain Lake is located approximately 12 miles northwest of Fort Worth in Tarrant County. TRWD operates a public boat ramp at Twin Points Park.

LAKE HOURS
Eagle Mountain Lake is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. When accessing the water after dark, all watercraft must follow rules regarding proper lighting as outlined in the TRWD General Ordinance and Water Safety Act.
