General Statement of Monitoring Conditions

By March 22, 2019

The National Weather Service (NWS) is forecasting rainfall in the TRWD reservoir watersheds this weekend.  Rainfall chances are expected to increase tonight and will remain through Sunday.  Saturday morning and afternoon currently have the highest rainfall chances, see NWS Guidance in Graphic-1.  The latest forecasts are calling for a total of 1/2 to 1 inch of rain for the weekend, but isolated areas of heavier rainfall are possible.   With reservoirs full and soil conditions near saturation any additional rainfall could result in additional discharges from the TRWD reservoirs.  TRWD staff will be monitoring conditions 24 hours a day.   Current conditions at TRWD reservoirs are shown below.  Please be advised that forecasts are subject to change and TRWD reservoir operations are based on observed rainfall  to conditions.  Additional updates will be provided here if conditions dictate, please check back.
