Cedar Creek Lake was constructed between 1961 and 1965. Whether its a weekend of relaxation or recreation, Cedar Creek Lake is a popular getaway spot for many North Texans. The lake also offers excellent fishery for all types of sportfish, including crappie, largemouth bass and hybrid stripers.

Cedar Creek Details

Cedar Creek Lake is operated by the Tarrant Regional Water District, a political subdivision of the State of Texas created in 1924. TRWD is one of the largest raw water suppliers in the state, providing water to more than 30 wholesale customers. During a typical year, 85 percent of the water TRWD provides to its primary wholesale customers comes from Cedar Creek and Richland-Chambers lakes.

Cedar Creek Lake is nestled in the woodlands of East Texas about 80 miles southeast of Fort Worth in Kaufman and Henderson counties.

LAKE HOURS
Lake Bridgeport is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. When accessing the water after dark, all watercraft must follow rules regarding proper lighting as outlined in the TRWD General Ordinance and Water Safety Act.
