Trinity River Safety Tips

  • Stay away from the water’s edge after it rains. The banks are slippery and water will move swiftly
  • Consume alcohol responsibly
  • Water Quality can fluctuate surrounding rain events. Check water quality reports before swimming.
  • Inexperienced swimmers should not swim in the river

Fort Worth Rowing Club

The Fort Worth Rowing Club is a non-profit club that practices, competes, hosts events and teaches intro to rowing courses. They currently operate at Marine Creek Lake in Fort Worth.

Want to Host an Event?

The Trinity Trails are a great place to host charity walks, 5Ks, adventure runs, triathlons and more. Interested in hosting an event? A special operating permit is required for any commercial activity or event on TRWD property.

The list of things that makes Fort Worth unique is practically endless. But one of our favorite attributes is the fact that it is one of the only cities in the state that has a river that’s clean enough to jump in and enjoy running throughout!  Providing opportunities to unplug, get out and swim, tube, boat, fish and more, the Trinity River connects Fort Worth in a truly social social network.

River Hours

The Trinity River is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

When accessing the water after dark, all watercraft must follow rules regarding proper lighting as outlined in the TRWD General Ordinance & TX Safe Boating Act.
