Pipeline

Tarrant Regional Water District’s highly efficient pipeline system is used to transport large amounts of raw water to more than 30 customers, including the cities of Fort Worth, Arlington, Mansfield and the Trinity River Authority.

The system features pipelines originating from Cedar Creek and Richland-Chambers Reservoirs in East Texas that transport raw water to balancing reservoirs in southeast Tarrant County and on to Fort Worth’s Rolling Hills Water Treatment Plant. An additional pipeline connects the plant to Lake Benbrook, located in southwest Tarrant County.

Also, construction of a pipeline that will allow TRWD to pump water from Richland-Chambers and Cedar Creek Reservoirs to Eagle Mountain Lake is currently underway and will be complete in 2008.
