General Maintenance Technician I – Eagle Mountain Lake

Position summary:

General Maintenance Technician I is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of water district grounds, buildings and structures.  They work as part of a team to assist with other duties such as vegetation maintenance, structure inspection and repair, and manual labor.

Qualifications required:

  • Valid Texas Driver License
  • High School Diploma or GED

Qualifications desired:

  • Prior experience in a related field
  • Valid Texas CDL Class A or B without restriction E
  • Experience hauling and backing utility trailers

Functions and responsibilities:

  • Perform vegetation maintenance, painting, carpentry, irrigation, fence building etc., on TRWD structures and grounds
  • Hauling materials and equipment for maintenance projects
  • Perform data entry on work orders and for time-keeping
  • Uphold safety standards and clean work environment
  • Interact and coordinate with other TRWD personnel
  • After hours Emergency Response
  • Perform other duties as required
